Terms of Service
These terms cover the STENGEN website and the StenGen mobile app. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service. Need help? See the Support page.
Who we are and who may use the service
STENGEN (“the service”, “we”) is an online tool for tattoo artists, run by igor.tattooing from Portugal. It is available on the website stengen.com and in the StenGen mobile app; one account works everywhere. You must be at least 18 years old to use the service. By creating an account or using the service you accept these terms and our Privacy Policy. Questions go through the Support page (stengen.com/support).
What the service does
The Tattoo Generator turns your text prompt into tattoo designs with AI. The Stencil Extractor turns a photo or design into a clean stencil line drawing. Explore is a public feed of designs from us and from artists who choose to publish their work. Features may be added, changed or withdrawn; we announce material changes inside the product or by email.
Accounts
Keep your login details private; you are responsible for everything done under your account. Give accurate information and keep one account per person. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, abuse rewards or referral programs, or where we must do so for legal or operational reasons. You can delete your account at any time in Profile → Delete account (also inside the app).
Credits, plans and payments
Generations and stencils use credits. Credits come with a plan, with credit packs, or as bonuses (for example a free trial, a referral bonus or the Design of the day reward). Purchases on the website are billed by Stripe; purchases made inside the iOS or Android app are billed by Apple or Google under their own terms, and refunds for those purchases are handled by them. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel; cancelling stops the next renewal and keeps access until the end of the paid period. Credits have no cash value, cannot be transferred or exchanged for money, and unused credits are not refunded. Bonus credits are promotional: we may change or end a promotion at any time and may remove bonuses obtained through fraud, duplicate accounts or automation. If you are a consumer in the EU, you agree that digital content is delivered immediately after purchase and you acknowledge that you therefore lose the 14-day right of withdrawal once delivery starts; fees already paid are otherwise non-refundable except where the law says so.
AI-generated output
Designs and stencils are produced by third-party AI models. We do not guarantee accuracy, originality or fitness for a particular purpose, including for tattooing on skin. Similar prompts can produce similar results for different users. Check a design yourself before you use it commercially or tattoo it; you are responsible for the final work and for respecting other people’s rights.
Your content, our license, and the Explore feed
You keep the rights to the images you upload and, to the extent the law allows, to the designs and stencils you generate for your own use. By uploading, you give us a limited license to process your content in order to provide the service (for example to send it to the AI provider and to store your results in your history). If you publish a design to Explore, you additionally grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display it in the feed, on stengen.com and in StenGen’s own social media and marketing, credited as “Artist” without your name or email. Publishing also shares the prompt and style settings behind the design, so other artists can press “Make similar” and create their own version. You can remove a published design at any time from the result card; we stop using it in new material after removal, but copies already used in published promotion may remain. You may only publish designs you generated in StenGen and that follow the community rules below.
Community rules for Explore
Do not publish content that is sexual or pornographic, that shows minors, that promotes hate, violence or self-harm, that uses a real person’s likeness or a brand without permission, that infringes copyright, or that is spam. Anyone can report a design and hide an artist; a design reported by several users is taken out of the feed automatically, and we aim to review every report within 24 hours. We may remove any content and suspend accounts that break these rules, without notice. Hearts, the Design of the day and its reward can be cancelled where we see manipulation (fake accounts, bots, vote trading).
Acceptable use
You must not upload content you have no right to use, try to bypass credit limits or security, scrape or bulk-download the feed or other users’ content, resell access, use automated scripts against the service, or present StenGen output as being endorsed by us. We may set fair-use limits on generation speed and volume.
Our intellectual property
STENGEN, its logo, the website, the app, the curated gallery and Explore feed content published by us, the guides and all software remain our property or that of our licensors. These terms do not give you any rights to them other than to use the service as described.
Ending the relationship
You can stop using the service or delete your account at any time. Deleting your account cancels active subscriptions immediately without a refund for the remaining period, removes your designs from Explore and deletes your content as described in the Privacy Policy. We may end or suspend access for breach of these terms, and we will tell you why unless the law prevents it.
Disclaimer and liability
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent permitted by law we exclude warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, lost profits or lost data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, or the statutory rights of consumers.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by Portuguese law. If you are a consumer in the EU you also keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live, and you may use the EU online dispute resolution platform (ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr). Please contact us first through the Support page — most issues are solved in a message or two.
Changes
We may change these terms. We will update the “Last updated” date and, for material changes, tell you inside the product or by email before they apply. Continued use after the change means you accept the new terms; if you do not agree, stop using the service and delete your account.
